Dawn's role is to help the community become connected to what we do at BrainTrust. She builds relationships with stakeholders, potential donors, and sponsors. She also leads both fundraising and educational events. Dawn developed a personal connection to brain injury when she became the primary caregiver for her mom after a series of strokes. Dawn moved from northern Ontario to the Okanagan in 2010 after falling love with the mountains on a weekend vacation, where she spent the next several years as an entrepreneur until finally following her heart's calling into the nonprofit world. Dawn ran Heart & Stroke's local office and >1M fundraising campaign until her recent move to Brain Trust Canada. She is 'mom' to a Shorkie named Parker and a tuxedo cat named MJ.
